I am so excited to be a part of the Jamaica trip for this summer!  I have recently completed my second year as a fourth grade teacher at Christie Elementary in Frisco ISD.  I enjoy every aspect of being a fourth grade teacher, especially when I see the light bulb go off in my students’ heads!

I received my undergrad degree at Baylor University where I earned my certificate in Early Childhood through 4^th Grade.  During my time in Waco, I student taught in low income areas where my heart fell in love with students with poverty stricken backgrounds.

My goal as an educator is to help students grow in confidence in themselves so they can accomplish their dreams.  Education is such a vital component to a student’s success, especially in the elementary years where the foundation is being built.  I cannot wait to use what God has blessed me with as a teacher to show the teachers in Jamaica how to help their students to become lifelong learners.
