My name is Julie Hill and I am grateful to be a part of The Teach with Jamaica Team this year.  I am currently teaching ESL in a elementary school and I love my job!  I have taught school for 28 years in grades 5 through 8 and kindergarten. I have a BA and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education grades 1-8 with a minor in English. My wonderful husband, Mike and I have been married for 32 years and we have one son, Bryan who is 24.

My philosophy in education is to take every child from where he/she is and strive to build upon that foundation to enhance learning.   A smile, a positive attitude, and a true love for what you do are a must to be successful and encourage students to learn and continue that process.

My mission is to make an impact in young lives and influence them to become the best they can be.  What a privilege it will be to help other teachers in Jamaica go back into the classroom and share new knowledge with their students so that they can become the best they can be.  I believe in sharing my passion for teaching.  I am so thankful that God gave me the gift of teaching to use and to share.  I am truly blessed.
